sentiment indicators
sentiment indicators definition - finance
Indicators that focus on sentiment among
investors, rather than fundamental factors. A contrarian investor uses these
indicators to assess the price expectations of investors. If the majority feels
strongly that the prices will rise, contrarian investors will sell on the
expectation that most people will be wrong. Sentiment indicators include Market
VaneÂ’s Bullish Consensus, Investors Intelligence, Consensus Inc., and the American Association of Individual
Investors.
