sales discount definition - finance
A
custom in some industries of giving customers a discount for paying their bills
early. Although the percentage discount may vary, 2 percent is often a standard
discount. The invoice may say “2/10, n30,” which means that the buyer receives
a 2 percent discount for paying the bill within 10 days and must pay the entire
amount within 30 days.
