road show definition - finance
The
process before an initial public offering, or in some cases a debt issuance or
follow-on equity offering, in which senior company officials spend anywhere
from two days to several weeks traveling to different cities to meet with large
investors. The purpose of a road show is to build enthusiasm about the company,
answer questions, and encourage the purchase of shares of the companyÂ’s
offering.
