reporting level

reporting level definition - finance
The number of futures contracts held by one trader or broker that require the trader or broker to make daily reports about the size of the position. A large number of contracts must be held for the reporting level to be reached. In the reports, data must be broken down by commodity, delivery month, and whether the commodity is held by a commercial or non-commercial account. The position must be reported to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the exchange, which cooperatively set reporting levels.
