The former head of Credit Suisse First BostonÂ’s (CSFB) technology banking practice and research group; renowned for his dominant industry position during the Internet boom of the late 1990s, during which he was said to earn $200 million personally. When the technology boom went bust, Quattrone was at the center of investigations by fed-eral and regulatory authorities, which also focused on other banks and star employees. He resigned from CSFB in March 2003.
