power of attorney definition - finance
A
written, legal document that authorizes another person to act for the writer of
the power of attorney. The power of attorney may be narrowly defined, in which
case it would be called a limited power of
attorney. A power of attorney also may be limited to deciding health
care issues, in which case it is called a health
care power of attorney.
