A futures contract, traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), for frozen, stored pork, which comes from hogs and provides products such as ham and bacon. The futures contract was designed to help meat packers and warehouse operators cope with price risks, as the price can be volatile. Futures and options are traded on the CME.
