PHLX Gold & Silver Index definition - finance
A capitalization-weighted index composed of the common stocks of nine companies in the gold and silver mining index. The index is a product of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and began trading in January 1979 with an initial value of 100. Its ticker symbol is XAU.
