OEX definition - finance
The symbol for the Standard & PoorÂ’s
100 stock index, which comprises stocks that have options traded on the Chicago
Board of Options Exchange. To pronounce it, say each of the letters: O-E-X.
Options on the OEX are traded on major exchanges, such as the Chicago Board of
Trade. Futures contracts are traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
