Low-quality notes or bonds that may be in danger of default because of the relatively high levels of debt that the issuing com-pany has relative to the amount of equity. Standard & PoorÂ’s non-investment grade ratings are BB and lower; MoodyÂ’s InvestorsÂ’ Service are Ba1 and lower. Anything below B is considered non-investment grade by Fitch Ratings.
