National Securities Clearing Corp. definition - finance
A clearinghouse that matches and settles tradersÂ’ buy and sell orders. It began in 1977 when the National Clearing Corp. (which was owned by the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc.) and the clearing units of both the New York Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange merged. See also clearinghouse.
