An index of 308 telecommunications
companies, radio and television broadcast companies, and communications
equipment and accessories manufacturers that are traded on the NASDAQ stock
market. Before November 1993, the Telecommu-nications Index was called the
NASDAQ Utility Index. It was reset to a base of 200.00 in 1993, using a factor
of 5.74805.
