NASDAQ Telecommunications Index definition - finance
An index of 308 telecommunications companies, radio and television broadcast companies, and communications equipment and accessories manufacturers that are traded on the NASDAQ stock market. Before November 1993, the Telecommu-nications Index was called the NASDAQ Utility Index. It was reset to a base of 200.00 in 1993, using a factor of 5.74805.
