lumber definition - finance
A product created from trees that is used in constructing homes, offices, and furniture. Futures contracts are traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), among other exchanges throughout the world. The CMEÂ’s contract is random-length lumber futures, which began trading in 1969. Options also are traded on lumber.
