International Swap Dealers Association definition - finance
The trade association for the swaps
industry. Swaps are a method of creating financial investments by agreeing to
trade different investments at a set time in the future. The trade group attempts
to promote standardized practices, terminology, and agreements. Swaps are used
across the financial services industry and by corporations to lock in returns
or minimize risk.
