International Accounting Standards Board definition - finance
A professional organization that encourages cooperation in developing accounting principals and has passed more than 30 international standards of accounting. The forerunner of the Board was the International Accounting Standards Committee, which was the focal point for international accounting standards until 2001. The Board works in conjunction with the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
