HUBZone Program definition - finance
The HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program is a governmental program designed to stimulate economic development and create jobs in depressed urban and rural communities by giving small businesses incentives to hire employees who live in a HUBZone. The Small Business Administration regulates and manages the program. In return for hiring people in that area, small businesses are given priority treatment when federal agencies contract with vendors.
