high-yield fund definition - finance
A mutual fund that seeks a high level of income by investing at least two-thirds of its portfolio in lower-rated corporate bonds. Bonds rated Baa or lower by MoodyÂ’s Investors Service or BBB or lower by Standard & PoorÂ’s are considered to have a lower rating.
