Gyohten, Toyoo definition - finance
A former Japanese finance ministry official who is well-known for working on foreign exchange and other financial issues during Paul Volcker’s tenure as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, from 1979 to 1987. Gyohten and Volcker co-authored “Changing Fortunes: The World’s Money and the Threat to American Leadership,” which was published in 1992. Gyohten spent his career at the Japanese Finance Ministry where he was vice minister for international affairs. He retired in 1989. He was educated in the U.S.
