fund manager definition - finance
A person who manages the investments of mutual funds, insurance funds, or pension funds. The manager decides what investments to buy and sell and is compensated in relation to how well the funds he or she manages do. It is a good idea before investing money with a fund to understand the managerÂ’s strategy, which may be an aggressive, growth-oriented strategy or a conservative, value-oriented approach.
