fully invested definition - finance
A condition in a portfolio in which only a minimum amount of cash is being held and virtually all funds are invested in stocks, bonds, or other investments. When a portfolio manager is uneasy about the market, the manager will not be fully invested and is said to be sitting on the sidelines.
