Federal Open Market Committee minutes
Federal Open Market Committee minutes definition - finance
The minutes of the meeting held by
the Federal Reserve committee, which decides whether to raise or lower interest
rates. The minutes of the previous meeting are released several days after the
most recent meeting has been held. Typically this creates about a six-week lag
for the minutes to be released. The minutes show what was discussed during the meeting and list those who
voted with the majority and the dissenters.
