exchange definition - finance
An
organized market where stocks, commodities, futures, and options contracts are
sold. Exchanges bring together brokers and dealers who buy and sell
securities. Well-known stock exchanges are
the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ. However, there are hundreds of less
well-known exchanges throughout the world, such as the Minneapolis Grain
Exchange.
