earnings season definition - finance
The time period in which corporations typically announce corporate financial results for a quarter. Earning season begins about two weeks after the close of the previous quarter and lasts for about four weeks. Earnings seasons begin around January 15, April 15, July 15 and October 15. Companies donÂ’t have to report during this time frame, but many companies do.
