daily settlement
daily settlement definition - finance
The
amount of money that has to be paid at the end of each trading day by a futures
trader in order to make an additional margin payment required by the price
change of the futures contracts. The accounts of futures traders are
marked-to-the market at the end of each trading day, meaning that current
prices are applied to calculate the brokerage account balances that traders
have.
