cooling degree day definition - finance
A measurement used in the energy market to gauge demand. A cooling degree day is accumulated for each degree the average temperature for a day moves above 65 degrees Fahrenheit. For example, if the average temperature for the day was 80, that would count as 15 cooling degree days.
