call date
call date definition - finance
A
specific date on which a bond can be redeemed before it reaches maturity. A
bond typically can be redeemed at the discretion of the issuer at par (face
value). In some circumstances there may
be special requirements surrounding the specific call-date features. Those will
be spelled out in the bondÂ’s prospectus. If a bond can be called, it is a
callable bond.
