Brent crude oil

Brent crude oil definition - finance
A particular type of crude oil that is a light, sweet oil produced in the North Sea with most of it being refined in Northwest Europe. Brent can be thought of as a benchmark oil for Europe. Futures and options are traded primarily on Brent on the International Petroleum Exchange in London. Futures contracts also are traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
