breakpoint
breakpoint definition - finance
In
mutual funds sales, the minimum amount of money that an investor must invest to
earn a reduction in sales charges. As the amount invested rises, fees are
discounted even further. Typically breakpoints occur with Class A mutual funds
shares, which have a front-end sales load.
