bond valuation analysis

bond valuation analysis definition - finance
A strategy in which a bond portfolio manager attempts to buy bonds based on their intrinsic value. Using this strategy, the bond portfolio manager compares the different characteristics of bonds, such as whether they have a deferred call feature, a sinking fund, or other factors that would affect their yield and price. When those characteristics are compared, some bonds will be better values than other bonds.
