away from the market

away from the market definition - finance
In a limit order, a situation in which an order to buy is lower than the current market price for the security or in which the offer price, or sell price, is higher than the current market price. The opposite is in-line order. Away-from-the-market orders typically are held for later execution, unless they are specified as fill-or-kill orders.
