American Gas Association definition - finance
The major natural gas industry trade
association, based in Alexandria, Virginia. AGA conducts technical research and
helps create standards for equipment and products involved in every facet of
the natural gas industry. It also compiles the statistics that are considered
to be industry standards. The AGAÂ’s weekly report on how much natural gas is in
storage is closely watched by traders. If gas supplies increase, then prices
are likely to decline and vice versa. AGA also creates outlooks for the
industry and compiles heating degree and cooling degree data. See also heating degree day and cooling degree day.
