I am a retired teacher.
Another younger senior neighbour of mine is a landscaper and has is honourarily revamping and maintaining my small unit gardens with free plants.

She let slip in conversation that she is latterly proud of her difficult passage through what she now recognises as a wonderful life. I doubt she has done memoirs as I have.
As a special tribute of thanks I decided to give her a floral decorated, hard covered empty volume that might suit an anthology or diary in which she might write her memorable moments for posterity.
She is of aesthetic nature so I wanted my accompanying note to be poetically written to raise her spirits.
I have no idea of the correct title for a bound floral 1" broad book of normal library book size, and in searching my thesaurus found 'festschrift' and its meaning via this site.
Thank you for having such a wonderful place to follow up and deepen my literary gifts, little practiced during a busy lifetime. I too am enjoying the affirmation of having lived a wonderful life in often outback teaching and comitting it to memoirs so something of my life remains. I have no posterity.
