do not disturb (DND)
Telecom Definition
A feature of voice telecommunications systems that enables end users to busy out a station and reject incoming calls by depressing a feature button or soft key, or entering a code via the telephone keypad. Once the station is busied out, incoming calls typically are automatically forwarded to another station, the system attendant, or perhaps voice mail.
