DCS 1800 (Digital Cellular System 1800) Telecom Definition
Also known as Personal Communications Network (PCN). An upbanded version of GSM, the pan-European digital cellular radio system. DCS 1800 operates in the 1800 MHz (1.8 GHz) range, rather than the 900 MHz range of GSM. See also GSM.
