Curtis, Cyrus
H.K. Finance Definition
A pioneer in the magazine publishing industry who
founded the LadiesÂ’ Home Journal and the Saturday Evening Post. Curtis
discovered that advertisers would pay more money to advertise in magazines with
large circulations, which allowed publishers to sell the magazines to readers
at lower prices. His tactics paved the way for the success of other
mass-circulation magazines.
