XPDL definition - computer

(XML Process Definition Language) An XML-based language from the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) for defining business processes. Whereas BPML and other business process languages are geared to Web services, the foundation of XPDL was based around a common set of functions for work distribution found in most workflow products.
