WTLS
(Wireless Transport Layer Security) The security services in the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). WTLS is based on TLS, the landline version that is widely used on the Internet. WTLS encrypts messages between the mobile WAP client and the gateway (the base station), which decrypts the WTLS and re-encrypts it using SSL before sending it to its destination. See TLS and WAP.
