WDDM definition - computer

(Windows Display Driver Model) The DirectX driver architecture in Windows Vista. If required, WDDM can extend the memory on the display adapter by using main memory. WDDM supports advanced special effects, because each window is more independent of the other windows than in the previous driver model. See DirectX and Windows Vista.
