Vr Series definition - computer

A legacy family of CPU chips from NEC Electronics Corporation, Santa Clara, CA (www.necel.com) that was based on the MIPS 64-bit architecture. The Vr4000, Vr5000 and Vr7700 models were used in PCs that ran the MIPS version of Windows NT.
