virtual autopsy
A non-invasive autopsy performed on a human body. Also called a "Virtopsy," which is a trademark of the Swiss team that developed it. A virtual autopsy uses various techniques including 3D surface scanning, cat scans and MRIs. The scans make forensic analysis easier for determining the cause of death in certain situations, but are not yet a substitute for the traditional method.
