ViSCA definition - computer

(VIdeo System Control Architecture) An older Sony protocol for synchronized control of multiple video peripherals. A ViSCA-compatible VCR could be controlled very precisely by the computer. ViSCA was the software interface. Control-L was the hardware plug and socket.
