URL poisoning definition - computer

(1) Recording a user's browsing pattern on a Web site by tacking a session ID number onto the URL. As the user navigates the site, the ID can be tracked.

(2) Hiding one URL behind another, or diverting the user to a different page based on hidden scripting.
