Tseng Labs definition - computer

(Tseng Labs, Inc., Newtown, PA) A company that manufactured chipsets and display adapters for PCs. Founded in 1983, it provided products that enhanced PC display standards, and its ET3000 and ET4000 chips have been used in millions of display adapters.

In late 1997, Tseng's employees, facilities and proprietary designs were acquired by Canadian-based ATI Technologies and turned into ATI Research. Later, Tseng merged with Cell Pathways, a private company in Horsham, PA, specializing in drugs for the prevention of cancer.
