True Web Integration definition - computer

An umbrella term for features in Windows, starting with Windows 98 and IE 4.0, that integrated the Web with the desktop. It included Active Desktop and Active Channel as well as providing a common interface for the Explorer file manager and Internet Explorer browser. See Active Desktop and Active Channel.
