TARGA

TARGA definition - computer

A bitmapped graphics file format from Pinnacle Systems, Inc., Mountain View, CA (www.pinnaclesys.com). Originally developed by Truevision, which was acquired by Pinnacle in 1998, TARGA uses the .TGA file extension and handles 16-, 24- and 32-bit color. TARGA is also the trade name of a line of video graphics boards used in high-resolution digital editing.
