SuperDrive definition - computer

The multi-function DVD and CD optical drive on the Mac. SuperDrive DL supports dual layer DVDs. In the past, the SuperDrive was the Mac's 1.44MB floppy drive that also supported Mac 400/800KB, Apple II ProDOS, DOS and OS/2 formats. See SuperDisk.
