Snow Leopard
The second version of Apple's Leopard operating system, expected in 2009. Snow Leopard features "Grand Central," a programming interface for writing applications that take advantage of multiple cores. Also included is support for Microsoft Exchange 2007, 16TB of memory, a more advanced QuickTime (QuickTime X) and OpenCL (Open Compute Language), which lets programmers access the graphics processor (GPU) for general-purpose computing.
