reimaging
(1) To reinstall the operating system and applications on a computer. It implies formatting the hard disk and starting from scratch.
(2) To preconfigure a new PC by overwriting the pre-installed operating system with the same or different one, but combined with drivers, applications and settings required by the users. See cloning software.
