A well-known integrated suite of applications from SAP that formed the client/server version of its R/2 mainframe applications. R/3 included information systems for manufacturing, distribution, order processing, accounting and human resources. In 2000, the company transitioned the R/3 nomenclature to one called mySAP ERP, a core component of its mySAP Business Suite family. Other products in the suite address CRM, PLM, SCM and SRM.
