QuickDraw definition - computer

The graphics language in the Mac prior to Mac OS Version 10. It translates elementary commands in an application to graphics and text elements for the printer and screen. QuickDraw GX added special effects, better font handling and printer management. See Display PostScript, Display PDF and graphics language.
